THE CALL

Saturday morning — fridge warm, freezer still cold, groceries beginning to thaw, and guests due that evening.

WHAT WE FOUND

A textbook linear-compressor fault: the start relay had gone. The compressor would click, try to start, and quit.

THE FIX

Relay swapped from van stock, defrost sensor checked while we were in there. Cold again within the hour — the dinner went ahead.

An OE error mid-cycle, drum full of water, and laundry stuck two days before the school week.

WHAT WE FOUND

The drain-pump filter was packed solid with lint and a stray coin. The pump itself was fine.
